July 2001: Interactive TV trials with SMIL
Confluent Technologies, in co-operation with a Canadian National Television Broadcast corporation worked together to create the first interactive digital television trials in Canada using SMIL over IP.

June 2001: Confluent Technologies partners with Canarie project
The project involves turning a television broadcast into an ASL (American Sign Language) version for CD-ROM and Internet (streaming) distribution.

May 2001: Rusty Webcast
Confluent Technologies releases the Rusty Reunion Webcast. This was the band's last show in Toronto and Confluent Technologies captured and catalogued the event with an interactive video presentation.

May 2000: Confluent Technologies at RealConference
Confluent Technologies exhibits in San Jose at Real Conference 2000 in May. Confluent Technologies announced the June release of Fluition for Windows and takes advanced sales.

Feb 2000: Confluent technologies at RealPartner Summit
Confluent Technologies attends the Real Partner Summit in Seattle. Response to Fluition and anticipation of Windows release grows. Fluition 1.1 for Macintosh is released, introducing new features and upgrades.

Jan 2000: Fluition debuts at Macworld 2000!
Fluition made its public debut at MacWorld 2000 in San Francisco at the start of the year and response to it was incredible, to say the least. During the same event, Apple announced SMIL compatibility in QuickTime 4.1.
